Rebate-Ready Invoices

Every eligible project includes an invoice with the details rebate programs require: insulation area, product type, R-values, square footage, and paid documentation.

Deadline Reminders

Your rebate application must be submitted within 6 months of your invoice date. We remind you so you don't miss it.

Bonus Opportunities

We look for stackable savings including multi-area insulation bonuses and income-qualified add-ons where available.

Working With Older BC Homes

Homes built before the 1990s may require a hazardous-materials review before insulation is disturbed. If we encounter suspected vermiculite, asbestos-containing materials, mould, or pest contamination, we pause and guide you toward proper testing or remediation before insulation work continues. This protects your family and ensures the project meets WorkSafeBC requirements.

Common Questions About BC Insulation Rebates

Can I get a rebate for attic insulation in BC?

Yes, eligible BC homeowners may qualify for attic insulation rebates. The current structure is $0.02 x R-value added x square footage, up to $900, with a minimum of R12 new insulation added.

Can I install insulation myself and still get the rebate?

No. Self-installations are not eligible. Insulation must be installed by a licensed, registered contractor.

How long do I have to apply for the rebate?

You must submit your application and supporting documents within 6 months of the invoice date.

What documents do I need?

The invoice is the key document. It must include the insulation area, type of insulation, R-values, square footage, and paid invoice details. We provide rebate-ready invoices that include all of this.

Do renters qualify?

Possibly. Renters need a consent form from the utility account holder or landlord.

Can I get income-qualified rebates?

The Energy Savings Program is based on household income, household size, and assessed property value. Ask us during your free consultation.

Can I combine rebates from different programs?

Not always. The Home Renovation Rebate Program cannot be combined with the CleanBC Better Homes Income Qualified Program. We help you identify the best single pathway.

Is the Canada Greener Homes Loan still available?

No. The federal Canada Greener Homes Loan closed to new applications in October 2025 and funding was fully committed as of March 2026. We focus on current BC Hydro, FortisBC, CleanBC, and Better Homes BC pathways.
